Training & work experience
We offer different ways to get involved and help you take the next step towards your dream job!
There are lots of ways to get involved with Page & Bloom, and support we can provide to help you get into (or back into) work. It's flexible, so you can move at your own pace. We suggest that you start by coming along to one of the drop in craft sessions to meet the team and talk about what options might be right for you.

This support is available to women who have experienced domestic abuse. We are based in the borough of Greenwich (London) but are happy to welcome women from other locations if you are able to travel. For more information or to have a chat to one of our team about getting involved, please email Sarah on training@pageandbloom.com

Drop in craft sessions
Every two weeks on a Wednesday we run a lunchtime craft session in Woolwich where you can drop in and spend some time learning how to make paper flowers with our team. Each session we focus on a different flower, and you'll of course be able to take the flowers home with you at the end! The sessions are very relaxed and are a chance to chat, enjoy a tea or coffee, and get away from it all for a while. You are welcome to drop in between 12.30 and 2.30 and stay for as long as you wish.
Click here for upcoming dates. If you'd like to attend (or are a woman's organisation and would like to refer a client), just email training@pageandbloom.com and we'll send you the details.
Training sessions

We will soon be starting a series of regular training sessions, open to any of the women who attend our craft sessions, volunteers and trainees. The trainings will be focussed on transferable work skills and practical knowledge to help you get into, and succeed, in a job. The sessions are run by Page & Bloom staff as well as specialists from our corporate and community partners.

Volunteer work experience placements

We host volunteer placements for women who want to build up CV experience and get used to being in a work place, but who aren't ready or able to take up paid work yet. During your placement you'll be working with our team to make flowers- but rather than being for sale these flowers will be donated to local domestic abuse refuges and charities. You'll also be able to get experience in different parts of the business such as admin, marketing, customer service and events. We are able to cover London travel expenses and lunch costs. Placements are normally for 4-6 weeks and hours are flexible. We have limited places, so may not be able to host you right away.
Paid work experience placements

For women who are ready to start paid work, we offer paid work experience placements. These are intended for women who are motivated to move into a job and are ready to start applying, but perhaps need a bit of experience on their CV, a confidence boost or an employer's reference. During your placement you will work with our team to make flowers for our customers and corporate clients, as well as getting experience in different parts of the business such as admin, marketing, customer service and events. Placements are normally for 6-8 weeks and hours are flexible. We have limited placements available, so we may not be able to host you right away.

Ongoing support and referrals

Once you finish your work experience or volunteer placement, our team can continue to support you with one to one CV help, support with job applications or interview practice. We are also happy to provide a space with wifi, coffee and company while you write job applications- we know it can be a lonely process sometimes!

We also try to refer people to our network of partners for further support, such as mentoring, other training, work experience or work placements, and other practical support for job hunting.
Jobs with Page & Bloom

We are able to offer further employment to a small number of women within our business, making flowers for sale to our customers. Whenever we have job openings, we will make sure the people engaged in our training, craft sessions and work or volunteer placements are the first to hear about them! You can see any of our current vacancies here.
